Back/forward leads to incorrect page

Steps to reproduce

1. Search something from the url bar with the search engine set to google.com
2. Open one of the results
3. Click on the back arrow to get back to google
4. Repeat steps 2 & 3 several times with several of the existing search results, eventually the back arrow will not take you back to the google results page, but to a different item from the browsing history. At this point, pressing forward and back will keep taking you to the same page.

Expected behavior

Browsing history remains consistent until the session is closed with the trash icon

Actual behavior

Unable to return to items in the browsing history without manually navigating to them again, either through the URL bar or ending the session and starting a new one

This issue seems to be inconsistent but occurs more frequently in some situations. It seems to happen more often when going from one website/domain to another (ie clicking from a Google search results page to subsequent pages) or going from a webpage to a PDF. The issue manifests with a blank white page and/or a partially rendered broken page. I can sometimes recover by repeatedly going back and forward again.
