Switch to Next.js?

I know we've briefly discussed this in earlier issues/PRs, but I couldn't find a dedicated issue for it...

But more importantly, I wanted a dumping ground for some interesting Next.js links/resources I've come across lately:

Thanks for opening this. Here's a note to self:

CRA automatically post-processes CSS, but I'm not certain that Next.js does out of the box. We'd need to look into that.

I did find two potential options for including CSS w/ Next.js:

1. https://github.com/zeit/styled-jsx/
2. https://github.com/zeit/next-plugins/tree/master/packages/next-css

styled-jsx seemed to add vendor prefixes, and I think is supported out of the box w/ Next.js, without needing to install anything.

@zeit/next-css did NOT automatically do any autoprefixer type magic (from my basic testing)... but I think it could probably be easily added via something like https://www.npmjs.com/package/@zeit/next-css#postcss-plugins.

I'm interested in switching to Next.js as it gives us server-side rendering and (some) code splitting for free. Before switching to it, I'd like to hear from more front-end people who have experience with it. I'm starting to ask around and might have some luck in SF.
