I am having this exact same issue. Current release of ED. Windows 11.

@KronicOffender @lmosfa I recently got a new pc with windows 11 on it and somehow edengineer started working again on version 1.1.6.26, and the thing is i didn't transfer any files on my new computer i just installed everything on a new drive. If you want you can try moving your important stuff to a usb or an external drive to try to factory reset your computer hoping it might work, idk nothing about coding but i hope this helps...
