Thanks for creating this @alelthomas 😊

Looks good to me, I'll wait for all of Sam's feedback to get implemented to give a final review but I have no notes at this point.

One last thought: even though this post is all about Material UI, there are many users waiting for any update at all on the status of Joy UI. Maybe, at the very least, we should add a section to reiterate the note about Joy in the Material UI readme:

Joy UI development remains on hold indefinitely as the maintainers continue to focus on Material UI. When starting a new project from scratch, we strongly recommend Material UI over Joy UI because we can guarantee ongoing support.

Otherwise, the last real update on the topic is from this equivalent blog post last year.

tentatively approving ahead of the last couple comments, I think it's good to go either way 👍

I wouldn't add anything about Joy in this announcement. I think the README is enough. Reiterating the README's message in this announcement would only elevate the issue.

I know this is painful, but honestly, there's nothing to give an update on. The development is still on hold, and we continue to recommend Material UI over it. I would rather we bear the discomfort until we have an actual answer.
