Single picture upload not possible

Actual behaviour

I can not upload a single picture files using the share button in my gallery, explorer or any other app, which offer the possibility to upload the picture with nextcloud. Googldrive also offered do not refuse the upload of the same pictures.

Expected behaviour

It should be possible to upload single picture files.

Steps to reproduce

For example:

• Total commander,long tap on the file
• choose sent to
• choose nextcloud

Environment data

Android version: 8.0 rooted official ROM
Device model: S7
Stock or customized system: Stock
Nextcloud app version: latest
Nextcloud server version: 14

I can confirm this issue on my Android 9 device.

@cannothing could you pls confirm the exact app version for us? You can find it in Settings, bottom of the list titles "Nextcloud Android app".

This issue I had since I had written this report.The actual version is 3.6.1.

But playing around, I have the impression, the issue is different than I reported. I can not upload files bigger than 1MB. I am only possible to upload files smaller than 1 MB. If the file is png and <1MB I can upload the file. If the file is bigger than 1MB and for example a txt-file,I can not upload the file.

Hi, Thanks. Can you confirm that the upload works on web? One of the frequent issues with upload is the default max POST body size configured in PHP or HTTP server settings, preventing users from uploading larger files.

My guess is that is a Webserver related Config issue, since we added chunked uploading recently so anything above 1MB will be split or above 10MB on wifi connection will be split.

Upload works fine, if I am using a webbrowser on my PC, it works fine, if I am using the windowsapp.

The problem is still likely with the server since web and desktop don't use chunked uploads (as to my knowledge of course). So do you see anything special in the Nextcloud server logs?

"Nextcloud server logs". If you meant the activity log of nextcloud, no. If you meant a different log, I do not know where to find this log. But I am using "Shared Webspace" at https://all-inkl.com/

@tobiasKaminsky can you point @cannothing into the right direction? I don't excatly know where the logs would be on the server side.

I have the same issue. On my mobile I cannot upload files larger than 1Mb. It uploads but after reaching 100% it gives an error and says the server is unavailable.
It is even stranger because it affects only the recently (a few days ago) created account, the other account created months ago does not have this issue. It still works like a charm, I can upload large files from my mobile.

Web upload works for both.
I use a hosted instance of Nextcloud version 16
My Android app version is 3.6.1
Server logs do not show anything.

My account is also a "new" created account. I created the account two weeks before I wrote my first post in this issue.

On server logs are in data directory, where also the user files are stored.
