local edited files are not updated on the server

FYI: This has nothing to do with auto-upload, that works fine for me ;)

Steps to reproduce

1. create a txt on another client (e.g. www)
2. open and edit it on android
3. the changed file is not autmatically synced with the server, I have to manually choose to sync in the android-app to get the changed file back to the NC server

Expected behaviour

If I modify a file on android, it should be synced back to the server ;)

Actual behaviour

Local edited files are not synced to the server.

How do you edit it? When just changing this on filesystem, there is a background job that will upload the changes if on wifi.

You can also open it via document storage framework and then it will get uploaded directly afterwards.

I have installed TotalCommander and in the NC app in the sandwich menu of eg an text file, I can choose 'open with' -> Totalcmd-Editor
Doing that, changing some chars, saving and going back modifies the file locally.
In the web interface it is still the old one. If I now go to the android app and say sync in the file's sandwich menu and check back on the web interface the modifications were transfered.
The app does that never automatically.

This behavior is independent of my connectivity and for me always reproducible.

Same issue for me, always reproducible. I can select a text file, open with an editor (QuickEdit+ in this case), save it from within that editor, and the file will not be syned until I manually tell Nextcloud to sync it.

It's actually a big usability problem if you're frequently editing files on your phone. In my case I have markdown notes that I'm often making changes to, and having to find them in nextcloud, open them with the editor, save them, and then re-open nextcloud and sync them is a pain in the ass. And if I ever forget to sync them I end up with a file conflict.
