Video cannot be loaded while clicking on preview icon. In browser's console I can see a request with 404 status:

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. To to 'All Media'.
2. Click on any video preview.
3. See loading icon
4. In browser console there is failed request like in description.

Expected behavior
Video should be loaded and played after clicking on preview icon.

Additional context
The requested video actually exists on data directory.
Queried DB with the following query:

select path from oc_filecache where path like '%20250921__0-02-0a-b1441e947c732ae10bd1ec5e2a7d5ee9d591becf5986bc93b8ed7285553c6d30_21c25f2f5b3.mp4%' limit 10;

Found the following result:

Experiencing the same issue on Nextcloud 32.0.0 with Photos 5.0.0-dev.1. In my case, it affects videos on external storage specifically. Browser shows duplicate paths: /remote.php/dav/files/user/files/user/...

I am no longer seeing/experiencing this behavior in Nextcloud 32.0.1

Just upgraded to 32.0.1 but still facing the same issue.

Your Nextcloud is running in a subdirectory (/nextcloud/) rather than at the domain root. Your error shows:

/nextcloud/remote.php/dav/nextcloud/remote.php/dav/files/...

In my case it was duplicating /files/username/ instead. So it seems like 32.0.1 might have fixed one path duplication issue but not the subdirectory one.

I'm wondering if it could be related to the overwritewebroot setting. I noticed in the Nextcloud docs that subdirectory installs sometimes need that configured, especially when behind a reverse proxy. Might be worth checking if you have it set:

php occ config:system:get overwritewebroot

If it's not there or looks wrong, the docs suggest it should match your subdirectory (like /nextcloud). Not sure if it'll fix this particular bug, but figured it's worth mentioning since subdirectory setups can be tricky with URL generation.

Actually I've managed to fix it locally by changing apps/photos/js/PhotoSearch-BSXGxsuG.chunk.mjs file in nextcloud home directory just by adding nextcloud prefix in replacement string:
