Previews in Files don’t reflect view of rendered Markdown

So now that we have this fancy WYSIWYG editor, we have kind of a problem with our default previews:

If you just created a document and used some headings and it looked nice, you will be confused when you see that.

Anything we can do there? Like a markdown renderer for the preview generator? cc @rullzer maybe?

Yep - markdown renderer is possible.

@MorrisJobke For the preview in the sidebar yes, we can just load the editor in read only mode there, but how would you actually render the preview images so they can be shown in the grid/list view and in mobile apps?

Check for a markdown PHP renderer I would say.

Those renderers still only provide the rendered markdown as HTML. I'm not aware of any solution that will allow rendering to an image file. I'd be happy about suggestions here 😉

We should also add a preview plugin for the sidebar, so the preview there has the same rendering as the document.
