This PR is in reference to work being tracked on nodejs/abi-stable-node#421.
The original scope of this work was to update only the documentation. But there are very few references to
masterin this repository. To keep PRs to a minimum, I took the liberty of updating the CI also, which can be reviewed in the PR.This PR can be landed after @mhdawson has renamed this repository's default branch to
main.All remaining references to
masterin this repository are to active GitHubmdandhtmlfiles on other repositories where the default branch is stillmaster.
