For JDK 9+, this should pass the --release option to the javac
executable which is the preferred form. The source/target options
remain available for building with Java 8.

Successfully deployed at https://central.sonatype.com/artifact/org.openmicroscopy/ome-common/6.0.26, I'll start working through the other org.openmicroscopy components
