desctop sync is not working with dots \extra spaces in folder names

Hello, everyone! We have encountered a problem where the desktop version of the cloud does not synchronize folders with dots at the end of their names or extra spaces, and in some cases, it does not synchronize folders with Cyrillic names properly. This is extremely inconvenient, because now we have to rename terabytes of folders. The cloud guide does not mention these nuances at all.

Trailing spaces are not supported on Windows and can't be synced.
Most of the time those files were created on MacOS which does support trailing spaces.
If you can create files with Cyrillic names that are not synced, please share some example with us.

Perfect, why there is no this information in guide? you can't think that all users aware of Windows inability to sync Trailing spaces or dots?

The Desktop client should log why a file/folder is not synced in "Activity->Not Synced".

You can't even create such filenames on Windows. If you're using a cross-platform sync, it's not unreasonable to expect your users to be careful with their names (and look at what the error message says when it fails to sync).

Either you don't give files names that aren't Windows-compatible, or you don't allow syncing such elements. The latter is inconvenient, and potentially breaking for users on other platforms who don't have such limitations. It's understandable that such behaviour is not default.

Nextcloud for instance lets you choose if you want it to sync Windows-incompatible filenames - but that's about as far as all solutions go. There is no 'perfect' solution in this case.
