OpenShift Container Platform 4.4 introduces the etcd cluster Operator, which handles the scaling of etcd and provisioning etcd dependencies such as TLS certificates. The etcd cluster Operator simplifies the disaster recovery procedure to restore to a previous cluster state, automates the addition of etcd members, provides more accurate etcd member health reporting, and reports events to assist with debugging the etcd cluster.

Hi @lbohnsac - right now the only docs that we have around the etcd cluster operator are in the disaster recovery section, which is what the release notes currently link to. However, we've recently added a reference of OCP operators here: https://docs.openshift.com/container-platform/4.4/operators/operator-reference.html

So I'm going to look into updating this page to add info about the etcd operator. Let me know if there is any information in particular that you're looking for. Thanks!
