CTest failure with linux installation script (Ubuntu 24.04)

Hi,

I encountered an error while I am installing opensim core on Ubuntu 24.04. Specifially, it failed with ctest. It is hard to catch the main cause since the log did not provide details. I have attached the errors I got below.

@jlee52 could you provide more information on the failed test and how it is interrupting your workflow? If you don't need the Python bindings, you could just disable them in the script.

Thank you for your response. This is only errors I got from scripts. Is there any other logs locally saved from this buidling scripts?

I need python bindings, so I'd like to resolve this issue. FYI, I got the same this failure both in Linux and WSL setup. Both uses Ubuntu 24.04. The python version was 3.12.3.

@jlee52 it seems like the real failure is happening somewhere higher up. If the tests are running, then the Python bindings built successfully, even if they fail. So we might just need to fix one of the tests, and you're already good to go.

If you're willing, you could try installing the bindings and manually running the scripts controlled by the python_examples target to figure out where the test failure is happening.

I tried to run the python examples tests one by one, by commenting the other lines in the CMakeFile.

My theory is that nothing fails in the code, but ctest does not find any test at all during the run (message NO TESTS RUN), and so returns an error

(by the way, there might be an issue with CMake : when I simply update a CMakeFile, even just saving it without any modification, it goes again through a large process of compilation that takes much time)
