In this particular example, the contentURL is the important piece of information, and now, it's wrong with the service name update (operator-framework/catalogd#402). The values of the status fields really don't matter.
There are other issues with this section of the documentation (i.e. "self-signed certificates"), so perhaps this whole document needs to be looked at separately?

I'd recommend a new issue to resolve the documentation, instead.
