Thanks! Yes, I'm definitely open to contributions. There are some instructions in CONTRIBUTING.md about how to get up and running, and you should be able to copy and modify one of the existing layers as a starting point.

Layercake is still experimental, and I've been chatting with a couple of other contributors about ways to improve the schema (see #7 for example), which may involve breaking changes in the future. But you are more than welcome to help us figure out what the schema should look like, both for existing layers and for new layers like power.
