stuck in login/register loop on macos sonoma 14.4 #81

hey so i just did the simple readme instructions and brought it up on localhost:8443
wasn't super clear why i had to register first since this is local? but anyway i did the register and linked to my phone, was able to see the dashboard but when i clicked on 'assets' it took me to the 'register/login' again, and this time i couldn't get past that page even tho it seemed to be connecting to my phone; finally after a few tries was able to login and got back to dashboard - but again clicking on 'assets' took me to the login page, and back to a loop where i cannot get past it ;
i think part of it is if i go to 'register' then 'login', the referring page is register, so after login it takes me to the register page
ugh but every menu item on the dashboard just goes back to register, for me this is unusable right now
