Hi, I'm Paolo Dettori

Sr. Technical Staff Member at IBM Research (New York).

My research interests span distributed systems, cloud-native technologies, and open-source infrastructure. I've authored and co-authored papers in journals and conferences, and hold several US patents in multimedia technologies, business process management, and distributed systems.

What I'm working on

  • Kagenti — A cloud-native middleware platform for deploying and orchestrating AI agents on Kubernetes, with secure identity (SPIFFE/SPIRE), service mesh (Istio Ambient), and support for A2A and MCP protocols
  • KubeStellar — CNCF Sandbox project for multi-cluster Kubernetes configuration management
