Installing and Upgrading Percussion CMS

System Requirements

Minimum system memory (RAM): 8GB

Minimum CPU Cores: 2

Operating System: Windows, Linux, OSX

Disk Space: 10GB Free for Install + 3x size of content to be managed

Temp Space: 2-4 GB free required for installation

Supported Database Engines

The default installation installs an embedded Apache Derby database server. The following database engines are currently supported / tested:

• Microsoft SQL Server
• Oracle DB
• MySQL
• Apache Derby

Pre-Requisites

The system must have a Java 1.8 or greater runtime installed and on the System path in order to run the installer.

Supported Upgrade Versions

Percussion CMS 8.1 supports upgrade from the following products versions:

• Percussion Software - Rhythmyx 7.3.2 (latest patch applied)
• Percussion Software - CM1 5.3 SP1 - CM1 5.4
• Percussion Software - CMS 8.0.x
• Percussion CMS 8.1.x
