Detecting the types and acting accordingly

With reference to the conversations on PR #14,

I will start experimenting on the VROOM-category functions to detect the types of the "time" columns, namely TIMESTAMP/INTERVAL/INTEGER, etc, and acting according to that. If the experiment works, we can, later on, try it on the other functions, that do not come from pgRouting.

Closing this, because this idea is not doable.

The "time" columns are present in the inner query, so essentially, all the parameters of both the functions remain the same.

CREATE FUNCTION foo(a TEXT, ....) RETURNS INTEGER ...
CREATE FUNCTION foo(a TEXT, ...) RETURNS TIMESTAMP ...

This type of overloading does not work in PostgreSQL, because it requires the function parameters to be different.
