fix(updater): "Check for Updates" appears to do nothing on macOS Apple Silicon

Looking good so far, watched the AICodeKing review and noticed that a new version with the fixes is already out!

I expected to see an update button like Codex has but no problem I used the menu system to check for updates but nothing happens.

I hoped that my v0.0.3 would update to v0.0.4 so I've downloaded it manually for now and that's the version I am on

Not a showstopper as such but thought you should know

Update:

I read https://github.com/pingdotgg/t3code/blob/main/docs/release.md#desktop-auto-update-notes, so I used the .zip download to install it. i.e., download the .zip, unzip it, and drag the .app binary into Applications.

Do I need to manually download the other assets mentioned and place them in Applications, or should they have been included in the .zip file as well?

it works for me but the ux is a little hidden. a rocket shows up next to t3code alpha on the right. pressing it the first time downloads the update, once it is downloaded pressing it again restarts.

Maybe I missed it!

At this pace, I’m sure it won’t be long before I can test upgrading from v0.0.4 to v0.0.5, so I’ll report back then and close the issue if I see the same as you.

This could be a separate issue, as these errors are not triggered when I manually check for updates. However, when I toggle Developer Tools, I see the following console errors:

Also watching #201 and Homebrew/homebrew-cask#252744 and homebrew would be the ideal for me....
