I backported some important improvements from https://github.com/platformsh/platformsh-example-python-3. I made Python 3 the default for this template. As long as EOL of Python 2 is near version 3 should be the default. I also made this template compatible with both Python 2 and 3 so switch to Python 2.7 is not different from switching from Python 3.7 to 3.6 for example. It is enough to change type in
.platform.app.yamlfile and python_version inPipfile.
