version does not show human friendly version

I just downloaded 0.21.1 and typed ./stacker -version

here is what I got:

$ ./stacker --version
stacker version stacker 966bfd1ed82b0b8979cf38f24d58aa2c0ad7d612 liblxc 5ba5725cb4a210c25707beeca64fde5f561d1c71

966bfd1 is a good hash for sure (one of my favorites!) but it is harder to make sense of than '0.21.1' for people who are less 3L|73 than I am.
