Would this also disable updating other things, like from v4 to v5 etc? One option is to wait until that March 3rd PR and close it. Others like #7774 say:

Ok, I triggered the update, closed it, and now 'codecov/codecov-action to v4' is listed in #6604 under 'Ignored or Blocked' |

Since codecov/codecov-action was pinned to 3.1.5 in #7776, it is listed for updating in #6604. I expect Renovate will try and create a PR to update it on March 3rd.
To dissuade it from this idea, this PR sets "updatePinnedDependencies" to false in the Renovate config.
