Hello! It should in fact be a runtime dependency because unasync uses the API of setuptools, see https://github.com/python-trio/unasync/blob/master/src/unasync/__init__.py. It could be made optional, possibly, but that would be a breaking change.

But why is unasync a runtime dependency of Home Assistant? This should only be useful at build time.

Ah... then maybe the issue is inside pyosoenergyapi:
homeassistant > pyosoenergyapi > unasync > setuptools
