Pure python?

Sorry if this is a naive question....is there any way to implement aggdraw as pure python or plans to in the future?

So pull requests have been merged to allow for a set of pure python wrapper code, but have not been made available as a released package yet. This package will never be purely Python, meaning there will always be some compiled code associated with it since it is a wrapper over the AGG C++ library. I suppose someone could rewrite the entire C++ library in Python but that won't be this project.

What is your need for a pure-python library? What's not working for you with the current released implementation?
