Thanks for the suggestion! Both are now addressed:

1. Makefile for gcc ✅ (just merged)

A standalone Makefile has been added — no CMake dependency needed:

  make                  # build tq_run + tq_convert (auto-detects gcc/clang)
  make CC=gcc           # explicit gcc
  make METAL=1          # macOS Metal GPU backend
  make DEBUG=1          # ASan + UBSan debug build
  make help             # all options

Auto-detects NEON (arm64), AVX2 (x86_64), and Apple Accelerate framework.
Cross-compile for Windows: make CC=x86_64-w64-mingw32-gcc

2. Binary releases

Pre-built binaries for Linux/macOS/Windows are on the roadmap. For now, building from source is one command:

make -j$(nproc)
./tq_run model.gguf -p "Hello" -n 20

Will set up GitHub Actions CI + Releases shortly. I'll update this issue when binaries are available.
