Hashing with composite numbers

Hi,

Just wanted to let you know that two of the numbers in mersenne2 ($M_{67}$ and $M_{257}$) are actually composite numbers, so they should theoretically impact the probability of collisions when used for hashing.

Probably not a big deal, but still wanted to report it.

Ok that's a big problem. It can't easily be fixed without breaking existing disk-based bloom filters.

The hash function is ((x + prime1) * prime2) % prime3

Maybe it's not that bad if prime2 and prime3 are composite, if they're coprime.
