I'm facing the same issue, how did you solve the problem when try to build ?

Same issue when upgrade to new react-native version.
Fix:
add this code to the bottom of android/settings.gradle file:

include ':app', ':react-native-aes-kit' project(':react-native-aes-kit').projectDir = new File(rootProject.projectDir, '../node_modules/react-native-aes-kit/android/app')
