specify the workdir for temp

now precomp writes temp in the current directory
it would be very helpful to be able to specify the working directory so that if I have ram disk I can easily specify it without playing around with my path

what should I do:
Change the Working Directory of Precomp itself,
append new working directory to temporary file names
