[Feature Request] Limit Visible Requests By Jellyfin Parental Control Ratings

Description

Currently Jellyfin is capable of utilizing parental controls to limits visible movies by rating. As seen here:

Given that Jellyseerr utilizes the Jellyfin accounts to login. It would be awesome if we could limit the visible information in Jellyseerr with the ratings as well.

Desired Behavior

• Limit movies that can be requested to those that fall within the assigned rating
• Limit the requested list to only display movies that are under the assigned rating

There's a reason this issue isn't closed. If we have no plans on implementing this, this issue will be closed. The reason it's not closed is because we want to implement it. But keep in mind, we are all volunteers working in our free time.

For the past 3 years, it was just me developing and maintaining this. Now it's just me and @gauthier-th. While that's an extra helping hand, it's still 2 people, so features might take time to implement

I'm sorry if what I said came off as criticism or entitlement. I didn't mean it that way at all. Quite the opposite, really.

I do understand that exceptional open source projects like this are carried by selfless volunteers like you and that things absolutely take time to implement. That was my intention behind me saying that I didn't have high hopes of an implementation soon.

I just wanted to add another comment showing my support for the idea is all. I've been using Jellyseerr for a couple of years now and have donated in the past, but I suddenly find myself in a situation where this kind of feature would be really helpful whereas I never would have given it a second thought before last night.

But since you're here fallenbagel, I want to thank you for all of your hard work and say that I truly appreciate Jellyseerr - what an awesome program!

Hi. I know this is to tie the Jellyseerr filtering with Jellyfin account settings, but it looks like Overseerr has an in-app implementation that may help:

I see that the corresponding files in Jellyseerr have not been modified for those changes.

This doesn't address the request of this feature, but it may provide a stopgap, and help those who don't use Jellyfin as the login source (instead use SSO or some other account management system).

What file are you talking about? Jellyseerr has the exact same features as Overseerr regarding this.

I looked at it. The issue you mentioned is not referencing any open PR, or I can't find it. Hence my question.
And I can't see any commit related to this merged in Overseerr that is not already in Jellyseerr.

I've opened PR #2415 implementing this feature — per-user content rating limits with MPAA and TV Parental Guidelines enforcement, block unrated toggle, and result backfill for sparse pages.
