cannot find lgstreamer_android

It seems that you are missing a step to change the pkg-config info from the .pc files to point to the path where you unpacked libgstreamer_android.so.

You need to do something like:

perl -i -pe "s#libdir=.*#libdir=${GST_LIB_DIR}#g" $GST_LIB_DIR/pkgconfig/*

where GST_LIB_DIR seems to be /root/project/gstreamer/gst-build-armeabi in your case.

Apart from that, I recommend generating and hosting your own version of the GStreamer dependencies for Android instead of fetching the ones hosted on the master branch of this repo. At the very least, I would pin it to a specific commit (i.e. use https://github.com/servo/libgstreamer_android_gen/blob/ebb0f0097fec985e0cef988c54a28c2ba06761aa/out). I am in the process of cleaning this tool a little bit and that includes removing the out dir at some point. You can find the most updated version of this tool in the codec branch, which includes the workaround for a known bug generating the bundle with GStreamer binaries >= v1.14.1.

But I got android runtime error. Java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: Bad JNI version returned from JNI_OnLoad in .... libgstreamer_android.so.

Are you adding libgstreamer_android.so to your apk?

You can check this example to see how to use the GStreamer bundle.

In a nutshell, apart from the pre-build requirements that you already did, you need to:

• Copy libgstreamer_android.so to your app's jniLibs folder, as in here.
• Add GStreamer's initialization code. This code is generated by GStreamer's ndk-build, but the example only contains a minimal version of it. You might require the full version, which includes the fonts and SSL stuff. libgstreamer_android_gen generates the full version in the out/src.zip, so you can take it from there if you need it.
• Load the GStreamer library and call GStreamer's init code.

It's hard to say what's wrong looking at those pieces of code only.

Could you verify that you have a libgstreamer_android.so file in your apk's lib/arm path, please?

libgstreamer_android.so and libmain.so are in lib/armeabi. If I rename to "arm", I get this error. Execution failed for task ':app:transformNativeLibsWithStripDebugSymbolForDebug'.

I guess they are in lib/armeabi because you followed the first point suggested here that pointed you to this code. Sorry, I failed to mention that you should place the library in the lib folder(s) of the arch(s) you are targeting. It seems that in your case is arm.

I've never seen this error before. But doing a quick internet search it seems that cleaning and rebuilding might help here.
