Problems:
- Write a Python program to list employee numbers, names and their managers and save in a xlsx file.
- Write a python program to list the Total compensation given till his/her last date or till now of all the employees till date in a xlsx file. columns required: Emp Name, Emp No, Dept Name, Total Compensation, Months Spent in Organization
- Read and upload the above xlsx in 2) into a new table in the Postgres DB
- From the xlsx in 2) create another xlsx to list total compensation given at Department level till date. Columns: Dept No, Dept,Name, Compensation
Important points:
- The python code should be properly commented at Class level, method level and wherever possible.
- Write Unit tests cases
- Follow naming conventions giving proper functional names to classes, functions , variables etc.
- Error handling using try, catch, finally
- Add loggers instead of print statements
- Explore Pandas python modules if you want to , it will be good learning(if not done already)
To run the program:
- Install all the required packages
- Run app/app.py
