Ordering a server using a quote id

I do not see a method to order a physical server using a quote id. Does this exist and if it does how can I use it?

There is not currently the ability to order a physical server using a quote ID. I'll go ahead and use this as a feature request so that we can get the functionality added.

sl server create --quote 123
sl cci create --quote 456
That would allow checking if the quote matches hardware/cci and reuse parameters where needed ( host / domain , vlans )

@underscorephil is complexType required for this? I noticed that we don't use complexType when ordering hardware currently. What effect does this have?

Also, I'm curious how this should be done. Should we re-use HardwareManager.place_order() and add an optional parameter 'quote_id'? That seems like it would be the best in terms of usability and code re-use since things like hostname, domain, etc would need to be defined in addition to the quoteId. We'd want to short-circuit _generate_create_dict() before all of the additional priceIds get defined.

For CCIs, I'm not sure what we'd do either. We use createObject instead of generating an order template. If we're going to use CCIManager.placeOrder() in the same way, then we'd need to bring back the conditional generateOrderTemplate call similar to when SSHKeys weren't supported in createObject (cae5d4f). In my mind, this is far more straightforward than the HardwareManager issues.

If I recall correctly, this is going to require a different endpoint than normal ordering. It's on my list of things to address once some other projects get finished unless you want to do it sooner.

I was hoping this could be knocked out quickly. From Phil's gists it looks like SoftLayer_Billing_Order_Quote::getRecalculatedOrderContainer(id=quote_id) gets us an order container appropriate to pass directly into placeOrder. That could be fairly straightforward if I understand the problem correctly.

I'm not 100% certain that reuses the existing quote as opposed to duplicating it. It would require testing.

@sudorandom complexType is not required with the python client.

We should keep the quote ordering in separate logic as it is not compatible with create object. Any specific quote can be used multiple times, and ordering from a quote does not change/duplicate it.

sl vs order_quote <quote_id> --hostname=host1 --domain=example.com
