CNCF requires organisations to enforce the Developer Certificate of Origin (DCO) (https://github.com/cncf/dco2). However, it allows DCO to be skipped for members of the project GitHub organisation (https://github.com/cncf/dco2?tab=readme-ov-file#skipping-sign-off-for-organization-members).
As at least some organisation members have expressed dissatisfaction with the need for the extra signing step, it is proposed to make it optional for members.
