Upgrade build to Gradle 2.12 [SPR-14048]

Gradle 2.11 has been released since februrary 2016.
When setting up spring-framework project with intellij IDEA 16, the merged projects (see MergePlugin gradle plugin) from spring-framework are not at all easily recognized at it takes a while until everything gets setup to have a working environment.
With Gradle 2.11 (and its newest version of IdeaPlugin) there are no more problems in setting up the project in intellij idea.

The build is using 2.12 now, let me know if you encounter any issue.

As discussed in our weekly meeting, I am wondering if we should we take advantage or not of the long awaited compileOnly feature introduced by Gradle 2.12 instead of our custom provided support + custom plugin ...

Stéphane Nicoll this is very likely not related to this ticket, but I'd like to check with you if you encounter the same issue as me in intellij for the configuration of spring-beans-groovy project.
The screenshot

is taken from the Gradle Projects tool window and for some reason spring-beans:main dependency appears twice (this was happening also with gradle 2.10 and gradle 2.11)
I'm using
IntelliJ IDEA (Minerva) IU-145.256.33
Build #IU-145.256, built on March 10, 2016
JRE: 1.8.0_45-b14 amd64
JVM: Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM by Oracle Corporation

In case that this is not happening only to me, I'll open a ticket for intellij idea

(this was happening also with gradle 2.10 and gradle 2.11)

So it's not relevant to 2.12 and we shouldn't discuss this here, really. If you can open an issue in youtrack, that would be great.
