This is a massive upgrade from Angular v9 to v19, spanning ten major versions and introducing significant architectural changes. A direct migration is not recommended; instead, an incremental, version-by-version update is the safest path. Key breaking changes include the transition from the legacy View Engine to the Ivy rendering engine, the introduction of standalone components which are now the default, and a new reactivity model with Signals.
