## Changes from v2.4 to v3.0 (02/23/2026){id=changelog-02232026}

- All records that contain invalid raw footage (YouTube links, Google Drive private files, compressed files and others) **will be eliminated**. Following this, the user who submitted the record will be **contacted and expected to resubmit** with valid raw footage that meets the requirements.

- Due to 2.2 adding a custom particle editor for creators to use as decoration within their levels, we have decided to **ban the use of the "No Particles" hack in 2.2 levels**, as this could potentially act as a visual nerf. However, keep in mind that the hack **will still be available for 2.1 levels**. From Megahack V9 onwards, **the banned hack is labeled as "No Particles Classic"**.

- **Submissions of levels with altered text or other non-obstructive decoration are no longer allowed**. That being said, some changes might be given exceptions if they are minuscule enough, **but only if a list member gives their approval**.

- **Live streams will no longer be accepted as valid form of raw footage for record submissions**. Keep in mind that unedited recordings captured through recording software (e.g., OBS, Shadowplay / NVIDIA APP, AMD Relive), and liveplays **are still acceptable**.

- **Legacy list completions will only be held to proof guidelines at the time of completion**. However, in this context, **clicks will always be mandatory**.

- **The removal of CBF blockers from levels is now allowed**. However, **it is disallowed to modify parts that are naturally harder with CBF**.

- In order to avoid some records taking some time in being reviewed due to an excessive file size (over 10GB), **it is highly recommended to use Replay Buffer in recording software such as OBS Studio**. A tutorial that shows how to access this feature can be found [here](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zYWq8sT3H_k).

In general, records are not eligible for the list if gameplay is changed in any way from the original level.

Note that the removal of CBF blockers from levels is permitted. However, **it is disallowed to modify parts that are naturally harder with CBF**.

## Endscreens{id=endscreens}

Records that do not show the **in-game endscreen** after completing a level will not be eligible for the list. The endscreen text should also be _easily readable_ by the viewer. Game crashes during the endscreen animation and other extenuating circumstances may serve as an exception to this rule.
