After selecting some text and opening the Font dropdown, the text selection highlight disappears. The selected text should remain highlighted while the dropdown is open.

Bump.

Adding that the caret position as well as the location that style changes including font, color, and highlighting takes effect at is all over the place:

• sometimes the caret jumps to the beginning of the document

The only situation where no issues arise for me is when the caret is at the very beginning of the document.

Seems like it might be related to the editor losing focus when the toolbar is clicked.
