Hi, I'm Suraj

I'm an aspiring AI/ML engineer passionate about building intelligent systems that learn, see, and adapt to the real world.

Currently, I'm pursuing my Master's in Applied Machine Learning at the University of Maryland, College Park. I hold a B.Tech in Computer Science from IIIT Pune, and my work so far has centered on addressing real world challenges with AI-driven solutions using deep learning and computer vision. I worked on developing people detection and recognition systems for real-time video surveillance applications. Additionally, I applied computer vision techniques to driver assistance and autonomous systems, particularly addressing challenges specific to the Indian road context.

When I'm not geeking out, you'll find me swimming, trekking or saying yes to spontaneous travel plans.
