types directory and a images.d.ts file so that pngs are recognized properly by typescript, and converted map.jsx to .tsx. ONE ISSUE: tailwind on images is no longer recognized in map.tsx, which means the sizing is whack. Working on this more later

Migration to typescript. To my knowledge every .js and .jsx file should be converted except for tailwind.config.js, for some reason when I convert it the styling gets messed up everywhere; can look into this later. Also some type anys that I had to put, and some other dubious typings that we should keep tabs on/look into later. please test thoroughly cuz lowkey I didn't.
