@jmgasper EasyMDE is a wrapper of CodeMirror 5 editor. This issue with a keyboard word suggestion is related to CodeMirror 5.
The main problem is in how Codemirror 5 handles I/O. The editable area of CodeMirror 5 is not a native element like an input box nor a textarea. As a result, CodeMirror 5 doesn't work properly on mobile (IOS, Android).

From CodeMirror's developers:

This is a issue that's difficult if not impossible to solve with the fundamental approach currently taken by CodeMirror.

We are working on a rewrite (CodeMirror 6) that will probably address this issue, and we are currently raising money for this work: See the announcement for more information about the rewrite and a demo.

Note that CodeMirror 6 is by no means stable or usable in production, yet. 

CodeMirror 6 is a complete rewrite of the CodeMirror 5 code. It improves the library's accessibility and touchscreen support.

EasyMDE supports only CodeMirror 5 (Ionaru/easy-markdown-editor#324)

Once codemirror 6 has a stable version and the addons we need are updated/compatible as well, then we'll upgrade

I did a comparison between CodeMirror 5 and 6 on my iPhone and the keyboard suggestions work fine with v6. With v5 it's just a mess.
