Can't find ANCS service on iPhone

I am very interested in your project. After downloading, I follow the instruction => pair with iPhone with my Windows 10 laptop. But When I click on "Connect", it will throw exception for "this.AncsDevice = devices.First();" Because devices.count == 0. It seems that my Win 10 Laptop can't find the ANCS service provided by iPhone. Would you please give me some advise ?

Hi, sorry for the late answer.

It's been a while since I hacked on this, but I seem to remember that you need to advertise the ANCS service on the iPhone in some way by starting an app.

Try https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/lightblue-explorer-bluetooth/id557428110?mt=8 perhaps?

I am unable to test this myself at the moment since I no longer own an iPhone :)

Hi, Thanks for your help. I finally can make it work. Here are the steps:

1. Download LightBlue you gave me to my iPhone.
2. Use LightBlue to create a virtual service say HeartRate
3. Manually paired HeartRate with my Windows 10 and enter the security code
4. Remove Advertisement part of code since Windows 10 currently doesn't support advertise itself as Peripheral
5. Run the rest code and it works :)

Note: I still don't understand what make it different to "pair with iPhone and Windows 10" and "pair with virtual service in my iPhone with Windows 10" ????
