GetObjectRequest with "*" is broken

The example code from the homepage to get an object is broken for me.
req.addObject(id, "*"); // returns a list of the files but when I copy the InputStream to a file the file is empty
It works if I specify the position of the photo:
req.addObject(id, "1");
