Feature request: Spinner/throbber

Since v3.0 is on the horizon, perhaps #1371 could be revisited? Even just including a GIF would be very convenient.

I don't think we'll be doing this anytime soon. Lots of spinners out there already that can very easily be put to good use.

I commented on the original thread of this request, just to be sure people are made aware, Font awesome 3.0 now includes 'spinners' and icons that can be used to show progress.
