the "connect" package is now a requirement for running the test suite and must be installed locally (without the -g flag).

@fat Is this correct? If so, why the difference in installing locally or globally? Can we fix that?

@markdotto & @fat, it could be that I don't have my environment set up quire right. if I export NODE_PATH="/usr/local/lib/node_modules" (which was unset), make test works without the local install of connect (it finds the global).
