Strict Blocking Admin Policy

• uBO Lite is the only extension.
• using a new, unmodified browser profile.

Description

Currently there is no documented way to disable strict blocking with managed settings. I am considering deploying this extension to a domain, but I would like to disable the strict blocking by default so that links in emails don't get the website blocked screen. Is this planned?

Sure, I can add such admin setting, though keep in mind that when disabling strict-blocking, this will also disable it for when navigating to any of the malicious sites listed in some lists.

Thanks! Your right about the malicious filters. I guess the ideal solution would be to have strict blocking options per filter list or filter list category. For example, tracking links probably should not be strict blocked but malware should be.

Right, I will consider this for the future, where the strict-blocking setting would be more like a strict-blocking level, where level 0 is no strict blocking, level one is strict blocking for malware lists only, level 2 is strict blocking for all lists.

EasyList also contains a lot of malware domains, and actually I think most of malicious domains blocked by strict-blocking are from EL, so I don't think splitting to level would make much sense if EL is not at the same level as malware lists.
