The maintainer of the JSONPath comparison project is cleaning out JSONPath implementations which are no longer maintained. See cburgmer/json-path-comparison#159.

So I wondered if this project is maintained. I developed it originally and am not aware of much having been done to it since then or recently.

@glyn I was maintaining it while worked at VMware but I was removed from maintainers after I left

It's still unclear whether anyone is actually maintaining the project. I assume not, but who knows.
