Just running ruff format on the repo for consistent formatting.
After this I can do another minor PR that will add a .git-blame-ignore-revs file to the repo so git blame will ignore this PR. The .git-blame-ignore-revs will ignore specific commit hashes, but the commit hash of a squashed PR merge will not be known until the PR is squashed and merged.
