The M64 seems like a wonderful product. I have two questions about it.
1.) Is this capable of operating in a network fashion (communication between more than 2 modems)? This link seems to suggest communication is only possible between two Modems. https://waterlinked.github.io/docs/modems/modem-m64-protocol/
2.) How feasible would it be to implement time of flight ranging with this hardware.
