Upsides:

  • Night Vision while not hungry
  • Fixable by tools(welding tool and cable coil)
  • No need to eat
  • Purges any chem that stays for 30 cycles
  • Requires less o2
  • Supports more plasma before taking damage
  • Resistant to radiations
  • 80% to not catch a virus(doesnt mean they wont get it next time they get into contact with it)
  • Speaks machine language
  • Oil heals 2 burn damage per cycle
  • Welding fuel heals 1 burn damage per cycle at the cost of dealing 1 toxin damage per cycle

Downsides:

  • Heavy EMP does: 20 brute,20 burn,stun,drains 60% of the battery
  • Light EMP does: 10 brute,10 burn,stun,drains 40% of the battery
  • First time emagged does 50 brain damage
  • Second time shows a space drug overlay that cannot be removed
  • Chems cannot heal burn / brute damage unless they get rid of their robotic limbs
  • Chems can still damage them tho
  • If they run out of power they die
  • Alt click to drain power from: APC,cell,mechas,SMES or borgs
  • Like other species they still need a welding helmet to weld themself/other things
  • 150% burn damage modifier
  • 125% brute damage modifier
  • They get more damage and faster in the cold than other species
  • All virus they catch get a resistance 10 boost
  • Limbs(arms and legs) can only get 35 damage before failing(a single disabler shot to a limb will disable said limb)
  • Stimulants gases are less efficient aka they require more stimulant to have an effect

virus resistance is incompatible with the inorganic biology symptom, seeing as it won't have any special effect on preternis.

which makes no sense, since inorganic bio is made to allow inorganic races like golems and androids to catch viruses.

make inorg bio counteract the 80% virus resist.

Due to the way I coded it(a var on species code) that means that if i do such thing,any race that wants to reduce the infect chance will get the same effect and the infect chance will be ingnored if the symptom. On top of that,preternis are super fragile,it is only fair to give them virus resistance to survive slightly longer(and maybe RNG will be a bitch anyways)

powergame shitty race, i dont care about the "damage debuffs" when these fuckers can make a chemmix to reduce all damage to nothing if they're good enough. this will only cause problems with greytide and powergame that are too obvious for the basic player, go get it merged upstream

Uhh what? There is no chem mix to protect them from damage,they cannot heal from chemical sources

As for the "power game shitty race",it would be nice to know why you think that and not just DIS BAD DONT ADD

More of a suggestion than a complaint, but I would recommend looking into the effects for cyberman conversion for their hallucinations https://github.com/yogstation13/yogstation/tree/master/code/game/gamemodes/cybermen

It would be a cool feature if preternis could jump-start a depleted APC or cell, transferring the same power backwards and depleting themselves for the charging process. It would also be nice to transfer power to another preternis directly (in this case they could connect to another preternis only to give charge).
